The Beast rides again, sort of.....

after some quick body work patching and light bulbs changing the car finally went in for an MOT. and *drum roll* it passed, awesome *much rejoicing* there was however a couple of problems after getting back. while at the mot station it sounded like the starter was slipping, nice loud crunchy sound* once i got back home i thought i might try to start it again and see if it still made the noise. It was worse in fact it didn't turn over at all.

Hoping it was something simple i left it for a few hours to cool down and try again, it started right up so i hope i just need some heat shielding there to sort it otherwise stopping for fuel will become interesting.

oh well that's my luck once i sort that out no doubt we will get 2 months solid rain, time to get back on and annoy the nice people on the forums hehe.

Shhhhhh don't tell anyone

After a week of waiting my new master cylinder arrived, again. Stuart a mechanic friend of mine popped round to give me a hand installing it. after much bleeding of brake fluid all seemed to work fine, at last I've got a brake pedal again.

the next day i decided to go test it out to see if it really works, got in my car to start it up and *tick* the battery was flat once again. after charging it up for a few hours i turns the baby on and woooo up she started and out i went all seems to work fine now it;s just and mot. i have lost the power steering wobble and no pulling to the left on breaking any more, yay.

bad luck strikes again!

so picture the scene. opened the box of my new shiny MC to get it all bench bled to go into the car all nice and smooth like. read the instructions carefully to make sure i don't do anything stupid. I fill the MC with brake fluid and wait for it to come out the outlet ports as it says. Indeed after a few secs the fluid comes out and i screw in the plugs like it says. Hang on a minute wheres all this fluid come from???

It turns out the internal seals in the new MC are buggered and it's no good. So now I've got to return it and get a new one, however they don't have another one is stock and don't know when they'll get another.

I'll give em till monday to get me a estimated time and then go from there.
